ServiceTitan vs Jobber vs Service Fusion for a One-Truck Shop

Three plumbing software options, three completely different pricing models. For a one-truck shop the model matters more than the sticker price, and the cheapest answer flips the day a second person needs a login.

A cluttered workshop desk at night with a laptop showing a blurred software pricing page, beside brass pipe fittings and a stack of invoices

If you have been comparing plumbing scheduling software, you have probably noticed the prices refuse to line up next to each other. That is not you missing something. These three companies sell the same category three different ways, and for a one-truck shop the pricing model decides the winner more than any headline number does.

Here is what each one publishes, as of the time of writing, and where the math actually turns.

The cheapest option changes when a second person needs a login

Jobber Core is the cheapest published entry point for a one-truck shop with one person doing everything. It includes one user and costs $49 per month with no commitment, $39 per month with a one year commitment, or $29 per month prepaid annually.

That answer changes the moment somebody else needs access. Jobber charges $29 per month for every additional user, on every plan. An apprentice needs a login. A spouse handling the books needs a login. Each seat moves your monthly bill, while Service Fusion’s price does not move at all, because every Service Fusion plan includes unlimited users.

That crossover is what most comparisons skip right past.

ServiceTitan will not give you a price on the website

ServiceTitan publishes no dollar price. Every tier has a Request Pricing button and nothing else.

The three tiers are Starter, Essentials, and The Works. Starter includes Dispatching, Scheduling, Call Booking, Invoicing, and Pricebook. Essentials adds Mobile Estimates and Payroll Management. The Works adds Configurable Payroll, Advanced Reporting, Commission Tracking, and Customizable Memberships.

The pricing model is stated plainly on the page: “per-technician pricing is designed to fit your business and goals, at any size.”

You cannot compare that to Jobber or Service Fusion until you sit through a sales call and get a written quote. When you do, ask who counts as a technician. Does an office person count? If you run calls yourself, are you one seat or two? On a small crew that definition moves the quote more than the rate does.

Do not budget on the per-technician prices or setup fees you will find quoted on third-party blogs. None of them appear on ServiceTitan’s own site, which is the problem we get into in what ServiceTitan actually costs for a small shop.

Jobber shows the price, but the headline needs checking

Jobber publishes four plans: Core, Connect, Grow, and Plus.

Core costs $49 per month with no commitment, $39 per month with a one year commitment, or $29 per month prepaid annually. Connect costs $139, $119, or $99 on those same three terms. Grow costs $199, $169, or $149. Plus costs $499, $439, or $399.

Those are the standard rates. The page also shows discounted introductory rates for the first 3 months on the committed terms, after which the standard rates apply, so do not treat the introductory offer as your ongoing price.

Core includes one user, and additional users cost $29 per month on every plan. On the higher plans Jobber uses a user-count selector, so the number of bundled seats shifts with what is selected. Confirm the seat count on your own written quote rather than a number you saw in a search result.

The trial is 14 days with full access to Grow plan features and no credit card required.

Paid add-ons sit on top of the plan: Marketing Suite at $99 per month, Receptionist at $29 per month, and Pipeline at $49 per month. Card processing is 2.9% plus 30 cents, Tap to Pay is 2.7% plus 30 cents, bank or ACH is 1%, and instant payouts cost an extra 1%.

Jobber also sells Jobber AI Receptionist for $29 per month, included at no additional cost with the Plus plan. Jobber says it answers calls and texts around the clock, books appointments, takes messages, captures lead details, transfers calls when needed, and recognizes returning customers. We have not tested it, so we are not going to tell you it is bad. The way to judge any answering product is to call it and listen to what it does with a real plumbing call.

What all of that adds up to once seats and add-ons land is worth its own look in is Jobber worth it for a plumbing shop.

Service Fusion charges one flat bill for unlimited users

Service Fusion has three plans. Starter costs $245 per month billed monthly, or $208 per month billed annually with a 15% discount, which works out to $2,496 per year. Plus costs $382 monthly or $325 annually, or $3,900 per year. Pro costs $627 monthly or $533 annually, or $6,396 per year.

Every plan includes unlimited users, with no per-user fees and no contract requirement. Personalized onboarding and unlimited support are included, and no setup or onboarding fee is published.

Starter covers Customer Management, Estimates and Jobs, Scheduling and Dispatching, Integrated Payments, QuickBooks Integration, Invoicing, Payment Processing, Project Management, Reporting, and Text Messaging Alerts. Plus adds Job Photo Uploads, Inventory Management, Job Costing, and Integrated Voice and Text. Pro adds Open API Integration, Custom Documents, eSign Documents, Customer Web Portal, and Progress Billing and Recurring Invoicing.

Service Fusion lists add-ons including ServiceCall.ai and GPS Fleet Tracking, but it does not publish their prices. Leave them out of your comparison rather than penciling in a guess.

The seat problem arrives months after signup

A one-truck owner usually does this shopping in the evening, after the last call of the day, with the phone still rolling to voicemail while the pricing pages are open. That is the part that is easy to miss. Every one of these three tools starts working once a job is already on the calendar. None of them is the step where the phone rings.

The seat problem lands late too. At signup one login looks like plenty. Then a few months in, the apprentice needs access on his phone and whoever does the books needs access on a laptop, and on Jobber that is $29 per month each while Service Fusion’s bill stays exactly where it was.

So price the version of the product you would actually use. Count the real seats, add the features you genuinely need, include your real card-processing mix, and compare against a written ServiceTitan quote instead of a figure from a blog.

If none of the three fit, ServiceTitan alternatives worth looking at widens the field, and Jobber alternatives, including the free ones covers the cheaper end.

The phone is a separate purchase

Job management picks up after a customer reaches you and a job gets booked. The phone is a different line item, and it stays open no matter which of these three you sign with.

Plumber Secretary publishes its prices: Starter is $95 per month, Growth is $295, and Pro is $495. Bella answers around the clock, including nights, weekends, and holidays. She books the job on the calendar, flags a real emergency by text, remembers repeat customers by name, and sends you a summary of the call afterward.

Judge that separately from scheduling and dispatch software. The question is not whether a job-management platform happens to bolt an answering feature onto its top tier. It is what actually happens when a caller has water coming through a ceiling at 9 p.m. The other side of that ledger is worth a look in how much are missed calls costing you, and the receptionist or answering service math puts the numbers next to each other before you buy either one.

For one person who wants a published price and can start today, Jobber Core. For two or more people who need logins and would rather have one flat bill, Service Fusion. For a bigger operation willing to take a sales call and work with per-technician pricing, ServiceTitan.

Whichever one you pick, the phone is still its own decision with its own published answer. Call the demo line at (669) 284-5564 and hear how Bella handles a call, or see it for yourself.
